Thread regarding Illumina Inc. layoffs

Seriously… what happened to Pinnacle? Nobody’s talking about it anymore.

Did it deliver anything of value? Are we on Pinnacle 2.0?

I’ve been at Illumina for a while and never heard it mentioned. What is it exactly?

We paid McKinsey millions of dollars to validate what mini Jacob wanted or thought Illumina needed and then they fkd off with the cash.

It is a massive embarrassment and something which they have now realised is a cluster of a project so they don’t mention it.

I asked about it at the last finance meeting and no one could answer the question.

But it is good to see lots of people who work for Jacob get promoted for it!

Last I heard was that after all the research cuts, they are pivoting Pinnacle to a more clinical focus. The his strategy is now 1.5 years in the making and counting. Thats what happens when you have consultants running the company

Significant progress has been made on the project, with investments surpassing $7 million. We need to allow the necessary timeframe to fully realize the intended value from these expenditures and showcase it's benefits.
