Badging out of the building

Has anyone heard that the pulse point buildings will begin requiring all associates to “swipe” out to exit?

How many hours are you “required” to be in the office. Does anyone know?
NYC and ATL are installing badge swiping to exit.

Probably to get the people who are swiping in and leaving immediately. I’ve done it a couple of times myself. Swipe in and then walk through the building to walk out another exit. I log in now because that can tell from your computer where you login in from. I guess it’s easier to get a badge report than a report on log in info but it’s ridiculous either way. I can just as easily sit at my computer all day and do nothing in the office as being at home. If managers did their job they would know who was working versus not. D-mb

People leader here. I had a team member that was part of a legal matter and had to prove they were in the office on a specific day. I had to get a badge report from security for them and it showed 4 time “stamps”. The exact times they came into lobby, swiped badge at carousel, when they came back through carousel and when they exited lobby. So I’m not sure what a badge swipe to leave really does when at least at this large pulse point, they know exactly where you are coming & going.

I actually think badging in and out is necessary during these times. It is good to know who is and who is not in our building. Kinda surprised it took us this long. The negativity on this string is disappointing. I guess the associates who complain on here just can’t get another job. Not surprised.

Well if we have to badge out does anyone know how many hours we’ll have to be in office to be compliant with policy? My old manager told me just to swipe and leave. This is our “leadership” for you.

Social bonds can be built around the common experience of hating having to commute, park and enter the building to work with people in other buildings over Zoom. Everyone can just gather and discuss what are the things we could be doing with that time if we weren't spending in on this kind of nonsense. It's a great unifier and bonding experience. If you're greeted at the door and they just sp-t on you as you come in, the universal unpleasantness of that shared experience can also help build team spirit and so forth etcetera collaboration and such.

Is there a day where you wear silly pants and then just spend the day commenting on the silliness of everyone's silly pants?
Maybe "dum--ss Thursday"?

And Friday will be Hawaiian shirt day too. If we comply, we will be rewarded with a pizza party. How exciting!

well wake up folks - a long known fact - we CANNOT BE TRUSTED - we are lazy and need to be monitored constantly - badge out badge in - track it, screen watching, key monitoring - etc.

Focus on did they deliver verses office time. Office time is so unproductive with individuals walking around interrupting individuals trying to meet a deliverable.

Don’t worry @aw+1jspxmtr2

They have a near-infinite supply of workers from certain place to fill the positions.

This is truly sad to the folks that work every day, night and weekends to drive in to complete the in office check box after an 80 hour work week. I use to have a weekend part-time job. I now for a 40 hour paid work week, I have no life now to meet deliverables and Big Brother check boxes. PLEASE focus on the individuals that do NOT Work verses making additional obstacles that do all the work for you.

Programming and installing the systems to start the badging out process is taking place at four offices to start next month with the comment that “we will explore the possibility of deploying exit readers to additional locations.” The four offices are NYC, ATL, IND, and DC.

Productivity will nosedive . Elevance has the worst office set up I’ve ever seen. And absolutely overpriced cr-p food and s()$ coffee. Sh$&ty connectivity. Yeah add hours of senseless waste of time and gas to the day to only go in and collaborate with no one. No one is going to jump on an Elevance job either with a backwards in office mindset. It will be very difficult to hire people let alone keep them. Wake up Elevance. You’re ancient and floundering, do the one thing you can to maintain a happy and productive workforce, treat people like adults and get with the times. Nothing like going to the office to have an online Teams meeting by yourself!! What id--t company invests millions in office renovations in this day and age?

I surely hope the RTO mandate is a hoax. I dread the idea of going into the office more than once a week.

Being required to badge out is not a fire code violation. I’ve worked at plenty of companies that require badge outs.

Never going to happen neither is RTO mandate. Got some koolaid swilling s?!$ stirrers trying to retaliate to negative Elevance comments with their only we-pon — fear mongering.
