It's made by nature and is magically delicious and can be eaten with a spoon.

Should Tonernews.com post this article?
Where Does Xerox Toner Come From? No One Really Knows.
Webster, NY (Still Unwinding, Honestly) — The age-old toner mystery has reared its head again, this time bringing with it the usual suspects: wild theories, fervent internet debates, and one guy who once visited a Xerox plant in 1998 and still talks about it like he’s the inventor of the printer.

It all kicked off with an innocuous — yet somehow legendary — internet post that asked the question that’s been echoing in toner circles for years:

"Does all XRX toner come from China and Japan now?"
The response, naturally, was a masterclass in online discourse. Wait, no — it was more like a warzone of ALL CAPS rants and fact-free bravado.

Forums quickly became the scene of an epic toner battle. Some claimed Xerox had completely moved its toner production overseas, while others, holding onto their “real” facts (i.e., they Googled it for 10 minutes), argued back.

One voice of reason chimed in with a helpful, mostly fact-based comment: “Webster, NY still makes EA CMYK toner and black-and-white toner. Specialty toners are crafted in Ireland.
Japan? They make a little bit.

Just as the dust was starting to settle, a bolder, more creative theory popped up: “Actually, Xerox toner is now made in India. They ship used cartridges to HCL, where after Holi, the street sweepings are collected, carefully repurposed, and shipped back.”

According to the unnamed source, this mysterious process is part of Xerox’s “Reinvention Program,” which may also involve creating toner from solar flares and designing printers that cry when you jam them.

Elsewhere in the discussion, a former REDACTED employee boldly declared: “Xerox doesn’t make anything anymore. Well, except for quarterly losses.”

We tried to get an official comment on that one but received a fax in response, containing only the words: “Toner is ephemeral. Posting is forever.”

So, what’s the final answer? Does Xerox toner come from the U.S.? Asia? Or perhaps the shattered remnants of a globally interconnected, slightly overwhelmed supply chain? Because, in the end, the real toner isn’t found in a factory, but in the chaos we collectively generate.

Webster operates two toner plants. One makes EA CMYK toner for color printers, and the other makes toner for black-and-white printers. The toner plant in Oklahoma has been reduced in size. Specialty color toners are made by Xerox in Ireland. Fuji produces some of our toners in Japan, but overall, we don’t receive much toner from Asia.

Nah. It now comes from India. Xerox ships all it used cartridges to HCL. The highly technical skilled labor is given brooms and told to sweep the streets after Holi. The powder then refilled in the cartridges and shipped back. Part of the new reinvention program.

Over here in REDACTED we used to manufacture ink/toner for our R&D print heads but now it all comes from Asia. The ink batching areas are currently gutted for scrap money. I'd assume most of the other US based plants have done the same or close to follow.
