Quiet-Firing

I know "quiet quitting" was a viral topic a year ago or so, but does anyone feel like they are being "Quiet Fired?" With all of the RIFs, I am grateful to have a job, but more and more of my responsibilities are disappearing. I have never gotten a negative performance review. There's a lot of evidence suggesting I am well-liked and doing a good job. But my projects keep getting frozen, de-resourced, de-prioritized. I don't want to be paranoid, but it feels like they are making it easier for a RIF down the road.

I'm looking elsewhere, I have been for a long time, I just want to know if I'm paranoid or not.

I have the same story at the OP. I like the term “quiet firing.”

I was riffed in August. The previous February I was moved to a lower priority market and given less responsibility. I was assigned to a new manager who never had 1on1 with me. I knew it was just a matter of time. I was right. Yes I do believe in “quite firing”. I had never got a bad review but I did not buy into the kool-aid the department was drinking. I was also relatively new to that team.

Even if you ARE paranoid, it doesn't mean there's nobody coming after you. 😉
I agree with @a8+1jsnaq8eq - move on to another job.

You need to pull the trigger on a new employer. I have plenty of work but not for the right reasons. I'm going to be moving on.
