Like in prior statements and posts synergies and cost savings between companies will be made at the upper levels. Right now they just kicked people around. Nothing is permanent - all should know this by now. JS was a TT pick.. after he cleaned house. Sunu didn’t fully clean house because his mission was one thing, and that is almost compete.
I think Brightspeed is also looking to sell/merge. That will look interesting-WS/frontier/brightspeed…lol
Some of these leaders need to be gone. Some need push back. I love how these surveys come but never change anything! I love these comments about management that doesn’t know sh-t!
It is a game of checkers right now. New leadership is surveying the landscape, moving around the board. Once the merger is complete checker pieces will be jumped and swapped out for new kings and queens. Leadership changes are not over. Every new executive leader bring in their own people. Always have, and they always will.
Moving JS back to engineering/network. Wasn't he there back in the day and the entire org hated him because he had no clue what he was doing? He doesn't in his current position either but sales/marketing/finance is full of brown nosers so he never gets pushback for his insane ideas.
Windstream is a terrible company.

Kinetic has been sinking… new leadership was the only option. If not, another merger had to be the only option. Now with economic markets tanking and with leadership that knows what they are doing, that can see through bullsh-t. A new combined Uniti can play the unit game saying we are growing, while purchasing some of these small pop up fiber companies that are going to tank without all the gov’t handouts. This is the telecom game…has been for at least 30-40 years! Going way back to the mama and papa bell days!
Coming from Frontier. Elliott has a stake in Frontier as well. There were rumors of a merger with Frontier a while back. Because getting Windstream and Uniti back together is just step one.
