How many store managers have discussed the actual SALES performance of the stores? I'm not referring to credit, emails, app downloads, or traffic—just SALES! It feels like this company has lost its focus. When did customer service and sales stop being priorities? This organization seems to be heading in the wrong direction!

Our store manager is an unseen manager unless there is some emergency happening then they come out of hiding. I think we’ve heard an actual number for our sales one time since Christmas, and it wasn’t from the store mgr.
I’ve always thought we should get back to training associates to sell this stuff - get people on the floor selling! Oh but they can’t afford to pay them, so they rely on the app and emails to sell merchandise and the credit $ to get by on for now.
The organization is heading in the wrong direction? Ya’ think so..LOL….im going to take it a step further and say that there is some high level malfeasance going on, which is why the top brass don’t want to discuss sales and don’t want managers to discuss sales. I don’t get the warm fuzzies from anyone above the store level.
I’m trying to tell you all, I worked for Toys r us for 12 years and when they were contemplating liquidation, they told us not to discuss sales. belk is appearing to be the same as toys r us in its final years, almost identical to toys r us prior to liquidation. if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it’s a duck.
Absolutely! I really hope that those relying on this job as their only source of income begin searching for new opportunities soon. I have a feeling that many stores may shut down either before or after Christmas.
If that’s not a red flag, then I don’t know what is
