Thread regarding Open Text Corp. layoffs

Has today been the main impact day?

I know this is supposed to last the whole week, but it seems that today was the main day (even bigger than yesterday) and maybe the following days will be just for the people who are on vacation/sick leave/etc.

It is not over, it covers every region and country…for instance China large numbers, so who ever thinks this is only 5% or Less than 3000 is misinformed. But that is okay all the ELT got promoted a few months ago, so as long as they are okay that is all that counts!

I believe there will be more cuts tomorrow. Then the core layoff will be over. The remaining stragglers (sick, OOO, Europe, etc) will happen over the coming months.

Expect His Highness, the venerable Mark J Barrenechea, to send an email saying how difficult it was to eat his caviar and drink his champagne, knowing so many had been impacted. This was more painful for him than the people he threw out on the street like used underwear, because he has survivor's guilt. But he knows those that remain will carry the extra work with a smile, so he can get his giant bonus and claim to investors the company is now more efficient because of our powerful AI, the great garburator... I mean Aviator.

My coworker took a day off so he could work from home, so the system thinks he is OOO, we have no idea if he'd get the message.

Yes it’s probably over , looks to be about a five percenter globally, which for OT, is pretty minor .

who knows! One thing I've learned is to always stay looking for a new job, no matter if layoffs aren't happening always keep your options open, never get comfortable with a company they will cut you off right away
