Thread regarding Open Text Corp. layoffs

Gutting in progress

Multiple insiders report a company-wide WFR of 10 to 12 pct, with some teams like Quality in the US and CR 100% wiped out....

Layoffs are happening in phases, with remaining staff expected to knowledge-share before being replaced.

Some say it's part of a cost-cutting move tied to the Micro Focus acquisition, OK, whatever...

Whether it's 2K or more, this isnt a trim... it’s a gutting.

Mark should be the only person we need to lay off. He's too costly. And his performance is abysmal.

Here's the flaw in his "leadership" that even a monkey can understand. He's okay with wasting upwards of 7 billion on a stupid acquisition and taking a massive a-s risk almost tanking the company into the ground, but HEAVEN FORBID he actually invests a couple of million into R&D and Engineering so we can make some new products. That's too much leading for poor old Mark.

Mark is the equivalent of a reseller. He buys d-mb sh-t and tries to resell it for profit. Except this time he bought a broken Maserati and he got handed an expensive mechanic bill now he's throwing a tantrum about it like we held him at g-n point to do it.

All MicroFocus employees being laid off! Why acquire only to Layoff? They could simply sell off the products to different companies. Cutting folks from money making products while Intelligence lies untouched. Where is the logic? The only people that should laid off is people from top to VP level and 1 level below. They don't know how to run the company. All work to go to India who has never even worked on some of the products. All developers left and there are no QA left. Go figure. I hope this company goes to doldrums.

My guess is 499 employees in the US to not meet the requirements as being a “mass layoff” per the WARN act https://legalaidatwork.org/factsheet/the-w-a-r-n-act-mass-layoffs-or-businessplant-closings/#:~:text=How%20do%20I%20know%20if,during%20a%2030%2Dday%20period.

Given the amount of hyperbole and exaggeration this forum is prone to, I’m guess the total WFR globally is about 5%, no more.
