Thread regarding Medical Solutions layoffs

What now

We were given a 60 day timeframe. Does anyone know what that means for our jobs? Are we all going to end up losing our jobs…

How long do we think until wrs starts doing files alongside onshore onboarders full time now that people have their notice? My guess is within a week or so we'll have them working alongside.

Sc--w this whole place. They’ve been sc--win us for years. First they get rid of Mr. Meyers neighborhood, now this?!?! Most of Aureus has now been axed just 20 days after the rushed integration.
I hope they are having the best time in Jamaica!!!!

Funny how the wanted us all to welcome the WRS People and now they are purposely separating us from them. Also funny how they never call them by name just the WRS people. Medical solutions supervisors and beyond think we are a bunch of stupid workers! Well their jobs will be cut also and if they think they won’t the will get a rude awakening then. Best of luck everyone still there. Human first up yours.

I'm on the Med Sol side. I can sit here and tell you that at least for myself, I don't have much faith that me or my team will make the cut in this transition. As far as training WRS goes---well, that's already been happening as clear back as the end of January. We just didn't know that management was "testing".

Even if it happens to be the Medical Solutions side that is doing most of the training, that doesn't guarantee their positions won't be terminated within the next 30-60 days since this is an ongoing thing right now.

With Aureus's side being hit today but being given the 30 day notice - I think both sides will be let go just at different times after training the WRS team. Aureus was first within the first 30 days and then it will be Medical Solutions side 30-60 days from now getting the 30 day notices and then doing the training. Either way you look at this I can see both the Medical Solutions and Aureus side training the WRS team within the 30 day notices before being let go. They are just doing it at different times and not letting everyone go at the same time as no one would be there to train the WRS team.

Regarding the training. I also think it will be a medical solutions people who will do the training as well. However, they won’t have to worry about them not training adequately because for the most part they don’t know what the he-l to do anyways. If some how they find a person who does know what’s going on, you can bet that person is a snake and will not adequately training. There has been many instances where people were purposely trained wrong in order to make themselves look better. The end result is WRS taking over every single position. And yes, I do blame them as well. And no, I won’t give them a “pass” because “it’s not their fault”.

I might also add that if you're asked to do so, intentionally fudging the training really isn't fair to the folks in Manila. It's not their fault that any of this is happening. Yes, it's messed up to be asked to train your replacement. But intentionaly setting someone else up to fail is messed up too. I wouldn't even entertain the idea if it's suggested.

Please be careful with not training adequately if asked. I guarantee they will find ANYTHING to be able to fire so you don't get severance. My guess is medical solutions side will be doing the training since most of Aureus side got the axe today.

I don’t get paid extra to train people. So if I am to train my replacement they will get basic to little training. You read that right puppet masters.

That's what I'm thinking they are meaning is the dollar amount. But realistically the amount for everyone would be different based on their pay rate so I don't know why that would matter if people are talking about it.

In what context are they saying to keep the severance package confidential? They’ve already told is in town halls that it’s two weeks for every year worked and capped at 26 weeks. Are they saying to keep the actual dollar amount confidential?

In reference to severance question asking if their requirement to keep that information confidential is legal- they don’t have to provide severance, so it’s legal. They could decide at day 28 of keeping you around that you no longer qualify for severance as well.

Part of severance is caveat on not talking about severance. Is that even legal?

So basically, train your replacement or you get no severance. They are sick people.

When are the rah-rah posts on LinkedIn about the culture and how important employees are going to stop?

From what we've been told, you'll be given a 30 day notice which would have to be worked in order to obtain the severance. They aren't firing and having you log off same day like they have done since the beginning.

If you leave before completing the 30 day notice, you don't get the severance. At least that is what our team has been told. My guess is within that 30 day period after receiving the notice is when training the WRS team will occur and then they will take over your position after the 30 day period. My gut is saying people will be training their replacements before departing. At this point, I'd be preparing that whole teams/departments will be eventually all WRS individuals and that you'll be the one training your own replacement.

Pretty messed up to think about but that would be the quickest way to train and transition. Which would explain why they aren't firing on the spot and doing the 30 day notices instead which they've never done before up until now.

I think managers and supervisors know what is going on. I say they pick us off one by one, I know today was so uncomfortable. I was nervous all day. The unknown is the worst.

It’s so crazy to me how some people have no clue but I guess it’s because some managers aren’t saying anything while others are letting their teams know what’s happening.

Layoffs for onboarding start tomorrow.

I heard second round will be end of May and then probably another in June.

Who’s going to fully train WRS is my question.
