I get that he needs to speak to some of the positives but to say that 2025 has been off to a good start is not appropriate. We've had 2 RIFs, Kevin. That's not a great start. Get off your high horse please and get real.

I haven’t seen his email, so I can’t comment on it specifically. But I can say that, having worked with Kevin and others across the ELT for many years, he’s consistently been one of the few leaders who has actually cared about the company and its people and has shown the work ethic and attitude to roll up his selves and do real work rather than hover in an ivory tower. Based on everything I’ve ever seen or experienced with him, he’s a good human with good intentions. That said, maybe the email was a bad idea. IDK. Either way, if the goal is to apportion blame or frustration to Illumina leaders, Kevin probably should be lower down on that list.
