Does anyone know if the coming RTO mandate means that remote teams will be dismantled? If the reporting structure is going to change to reporting to a leader in your local office?

No two members of the team I'm on are actually in the same state let alone in the same office. Collaborate with that! The people pushing this have too much time on their hands and a guilty conscience for being on an informal corporate welfare retirement plan by sticking around, setting opinionated meetings and then loitering in them. They're mucking about in other people's business in order to look busy while pushing personal opinions and moral views on some kind of social policy. These are corporate morality police not one bit better than Iran's morality police or North Korea's commissars.
