India and the Philippines being layed off overnight:
The week of pain has started.
Good luck to all my fellow OTers.

Remote in California, USA and just laid off. Was only remote because they closed our office.
Tomorrow, many dedicated product operations professionals across the US will attend meetings that signal more than just organizational change—they mark the loss of invaluable institutional knowledge. With these layoffs, entire histories of customer relationships and deep expertise in specialized industries are at risk of disappearing overnight.
Despite recent messaging from leadership suggesting these changes are about “coming together,” the reality is clear: this is a cost-cutting move that sacrifices expertise and continuity. The unique insights and trusted relationships our teams have built over decades cannot simply be replaced.
Ultimately, it’s not just employees who will feel the impact—customers and frontline teams will bear the brunt of this decision. The leadership’s ongoing detachment from the very real pain experienced by loyal, long-serving staff speaks volumes about their priorities and values. This isn’t just a loss for employees; it’s a setback for everyone who depends on the knowledge and commitment that originally founded these products.
Mark is saving up money for a trip to space like other Silicon Valley CEOs and maybe he is starting a Department of OT Efficiency.
OMG - So many on LinkedIn, best of luck to everyone. A couple of colleagues virtual in TX been let go.
I hear the US and the rest of the Americas will be hardest hit.
UK + Europe to follow once they get approval from the work councils.
Surprisingly I saw some IT people in Manila being hit (legacy OT) and some people in India.
Happening in Canada too
Israel + Provo + remote means mainly Micro Focus getting hit?
What about Canada or Europe?
Headcount is by cost center and the priority is letting people go that are not near a center of excellence. It’s about back to office and justifying real estate rent/leases and having live (in person) visibility to workers.
I told you guys Mark's e-mails about values, loyalty, family, etc. are pure BS and straight up spam.
Very sorry for those affected. Good luck out there, I hope you find something much better than working for this lying sack of rocks.
US remote just got hit. Something, something, centers of excellence, whatever that means.
