Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

How do you deal with a toxic team?

I’m at my wits’ end. I’ve tried everything - ignoring it, engaging, playing mediator - you name it. Nothing works. Normally, I wouldn’t care, but the constant bickering, backstabbing, gossip, and credit-stealing are affecting my work. Honestly, I don’t even mind when someone tries to take credit for what I’ve done, they usually can’t explain how they got the results anyway. I just want a reasonably peaceful environment to get my work done. And no, the manager doesn’t care. In fact, they seem to enjoy it, playing favorites and joining in on the drama.

You take a need and make it full.

Contacting HR will guarantee you that you will be fired. HR is there to protect the managers.

Then leave bruh wtf? You're acting like you're forced to stay there. Not one person i know does the full 2 week notice. Just dip to a different lesser dept. Or be a martyr and tell HR.

You don't and can't. Your best next action is to leave. If they make you leave, then they have dug their own grave. Your replacement most likely will not put the same effort that you do. So if the manager has to fire your replacement, it will look bad on the manager. I have seen this happen over and over again. Eventually the manager will be forced to leave.
