Perhaps you should have researched and asked those questions before making the decision of move?

Frisco is a nice area. Schools are good. The commute su-ks, but it depends on your travel hours. Leave off peak and it’s about 45min to an hour. Then 15 min to park and shuttle. Leave at 8 or 9, could be 2hrs or more…and you’ll also be taking the Dallas North Toll all the way so factor in that cost. There are worse places to be. Good luck

Dallas is a horrible place to live. You’ll likely regret the move.

This is not site to ask for schools. There are better sites or forums. If you are serious in schools go do your due diligence instead of lazily asking here.

Left Plano two years ago for rural life. Traffic was bad, not enough people spoke English as a first language, and downtown Dallas smells like p-e in the morning.

Traffic su-ks. Find a place to rent preferrably close to where you will be working. Oh yeah and the culture in dfw is not friendly very standoffish.

My friends from NJ who moved to Frisco for a bank job are moving back to NJ. What does that tell you.
It's a $hithole.

"If you actually do move, find a better place. They are out there."

T-Mobile has a really nice Frisco office. Get out. You are sc--wed otherwise.

There are better companies out there. Those that will allow remote work, hybrid and even your own personalizable desk space and adequate parking.

If you actually do move, find a better place. They are out there.

Frisco schools are fine, but get excited about your commute. Gonna be great.

Depending on where you are in Frisco, you can either enjoy paying ~$8-10/day via Tollway with bumper-to-bumper traffic or you can go free on Central Expressway. But if you choose the Central route, go ahead and expct 2-3 wrecks on your way there and back. So fun.

Find about 20 good podcasts because you have at least an hour in your car each way too. 5x a week baby! The best part? When you get home, you'll have 80 Teams messages or emails and your boss up your #ss wanting you to log on and do some deck or cr-p like that.

Why didn't you just grab a home in Highland Park like our leaders? They all have a really tough 10 minute commute to get downtown and park underground. #courage

Welcome to Dallas brother!

Fake news. Enjoy Dallas. I sure wouldn’t move. Probably some field tech trolling. Those guys have no clue how good they have it. Yeah I might be in an office, but it lacks basics. No guaranteed place to sit or place to park. Imagine showing up to work and having to fight to find a truck to use daily or be there early enough get tools, because they only have enough for 70% of workers. They figure always someone out on vacation or out sick, so should be enough trucks and tools. All the trucks are gone, going to have to take the company shuttle (aka sit in the break room, cafeteria or any place else theres somewhere to sit). You guys file a grievance if the ice machine is broke, give me a break.

BWWAAHHHaHaHaHa!!!!
Dude thinks he’s actually going to live his destination in Dallas. Oh to be young and stupid again. Dude, if they wanted to keep you, they wouldn’t risk losing you by telling you to move. On a serious note, I am really sorry that you don’t know that you are being set up to be let go. Sad.

There was just a stabbing from one student to another that ki-led the kid. If I had a choice today, I wouldn’t choose Frisco. It’s been declining the last few years. On top of that, Frisco ISD has a $50 million shortfall that is creating major cutbacks.
