There's a lot of fuss about this WARN notice from February 2025. Can anyone explain if this is for programmed, future layoffs or if the 14th April, 16th May and 15th August are when the February redundancies will take effect and positions will be terminated?
It's harsh to bring this up at such a difficult time, but I think clarification would be helpful. I see a lot of theories that are confusing.

I cannot imagine how hard it must be to train your replacements in lower cost regions :(
I can confirm, I was one of those affected by layoff in February and given a May 16th end date. Some others I know were given an August end date. Unlike those given April end date in February, we kept our computers and system access and we're expected to train our replacement "in lower cost region."
the intention of warn notice is to inform the gov and employees. It needs to be filed at least 60 days ahead of the effective dates. Instead or informing you "you will be terminated in 60 days, but please keep working till your last day", Illumina basically tells you "you will be terminated in 60 days plus severance package, but you are not going to be working for that duration. turn in your computer now." Or at least, this is how it worked for majority of folks that got laid off
The WARN specifies the dates at which the employees who were informed in February will have their last day of employment, not for any future layoffs.
There should be a new WARN issued for the most recent round.
