All while engineering in the comments begging for raises for their hard work stating we haven’t gotten raises in years, and then Dave lectures the entire company stating he’s answered this question THREE times and goes on an unhinged tone deaf rant. Focals / raises will never happen says Dave. What a train wreck.

Raise? Promotions? Are you tone deaf or just stupid? Riversad doesn’t even believe in giving their employees focals, what makes you think your work is valued 🤣

Been here for a few years now and never once got a raise. Same with many others…
If you haven't noticed by now, PE firms are parasites. And parasites have control over their host. You're being taken a ride for. You get no focals because they don't believe in their people and don't mind losing people/talent. If you're happy with just a pay check, then more power to you. But know your skills are atrophying and that makes your less marketable and competitive. Don't wait until it's too late. The company has been swirling the toilet bowl for years and only gets worse. If you have any ounce of talent, don't waste it at Riverbed. Riverbed now is where careers go to die. Your leadership isn't looking out for you regardless of what they say. Actions speak louder than words.

OK that was weird, but is he really much worse than any other CEO Riverbed has had in the last six years? I liked McBee but he ultimately was just nicer, not any better at the job. At least he’s not se-----y harassing anyone on stage like Paul what’s his name.
And let’s not kid ourselves: there’s no reason to give engineering any raises. There’s nobody left with ambition. Why would he pay to retain people who will never leave?
