Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Is it over, or is there more to come?

Wishing all the best to everyone impacted. I truly hope each of them finds a better job at a better place.

In my opinion, earnings call was sad, it was obvious to the market analysts that the numbers were primarily achieved by expense management (employees terminated/roles moved overseas) but the idea that payments is the anchor and foundation of the customer relationship (with minimal/negligible/single digit growth for 10 quarters now?) did not seem to carry much weight or credence with the financial analysts on the call. Sheesh.

The job market is incredibly tough right now, with hundreds of applicants competing for every opening. If you’re employed, try to hold on to your position as long as you can, things may get even more challenging ahead. Remember, you have bills to pay and loved ones who depend on your well-being. Don’t overthink and please take care of your mental health, it’s just as important as everything else.
From someone who is suffering through no fault of his own.

There is much more to come...

H. K.'s world is going to have some major cuts. SBS's are starting to be impacted across the U.S. under her organization.

  1. O. is also going to have layoffs to some degree. BBRM's and their leaders are on the list of impacted roles.
