I hear internal rumors and everyone seems very unsettled. Is there any new information about what's going on? Bonus structure was changed to being out of everyone's controls in favor of the shareholders. What other changes do you see coming?

There’s a storm a brewing… First flex pto to save $- you don’t need to pay out unused PTO when people resign or if you have a RIF/layoff/resource action or whatever the buzz word of the day is. Some had titles changed (downward), followed by bonus plans changing (again), and now comp plans are being adjusted where some base is moved to bonus. One could interpret all these events as a way to have voluntary attrition so when there is a layoff there’s less people to pay out. Coincidence? Maybe. Unlikely.
CDW account managers are too busy juggling dozens of constantly changing job responsibilities and customers, all while earning a base pay of roughly 14/hour.
I came from an acquisition to CDW and it's been downhill since. Wouldn't be surprised if another round of layoffs coming post Q1 as the PTO went unlimited. Trying to do any security consulting work is like pulling teeth to land any work and dealing with all the corporate bureaucracy just to get a SOW out to a repeat client that typically renewed with the firm we came from annually. Lost a ton of business over the years due to lack of sales people selling for us since they seem to just be focused on hardware sales. It's a sinking ship and many have already left, whether forced or on their own accord.
“ Half of the posts in The Layoff praise Andy. The other half hates him. Maybe CDW shouldn't have bought IGNW.” Eccles didn’t work for IGNW.
CDW advertising on LinkedIn for a contractor to serve as "Senior HR Partner" and the description in the write up screams "layoffs are coming!" to me.

CDW was doing great with homegrown leadership. It would make sense that as you grown, you should balance that with external hires and acquired talent. CDW over-rotated. We acquired too many companies in a small period of time and brought in too many external leaders. We have lost our identity and the reality is that many of these "leaders" don't actually know how to lead people. Some were entrepreneurs who were great dictators in a small company and some were consultants who know strategy but don't know the first thing about leading people. This has crushed our culture, our morale, and set us back years.
Andy had vision and the mantra he was given was to push to make CDW a full consulting systems integration company. Unfortunately the hard wired sales culture of CDW's legacy can't see beyond how many boxes it ships per quarter. There is no long game emphasis. I would work for Andy again in a heartbeat over the current "all weather team" leader or the Directors on the Spectrum we have that were inherited from CDW.

Let's hope not.
While I am sure he had some fans, he was very disliked throughout the company. Missed meetings, didn't pay attention in the ones he was in, and then was rude and talked down to people when he finally did pay attention. Let ITS become an "everybody do whatever they want" culture instead of instilling a consistent, unified culture. Many issues we are still overcoming today come from what he did. I wish him well in whatever he is doing now as I don't hold personal grudges, but we are way better off without him.
Is Eckles coming back?
Worked for a good company, we were acquired by CDW. Without question it is one of the more toxic and rudderless Fortune 500s out there. 8 left after the 6:00AM layoff stunts last year. It's a cluster fu-k that doesn't seem to know what it wants to be going forward. After Eckles left I made a move. It was apparent that nobody left had vision for this behemoth..
If layoffs are coming, you’ll need all your energy and precious mojo invested in staying on top of your work while pursuing a stealth job search at night and on the weekends.
That is a better use of your fuel supply than trying to prove to your manager that you’re one of the people they should keep around. If they keep you, that’s great — and if they don’t, you will begin a new adventure somewhere else, always learning and growing.
What change exactly?
Haven’t heard much other than I wouldn’t be surprised about this change. Just another reason why cdw is a toxic self destructing company that thinks they’re the Ohtani of MLB when they’re turning into the white Sox
