Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

Single case agreements for Executive Leadership

Go to Propublica and read this article “Slow Pay, Low Pay or No Pay”. Published today. Talked about how Executives did single case agreements to pay for medical procedures for Executives wives but didn’t pay for member br---t cancer reconstructive surgery. This company is morally bankrupt.

Hellavance is an ASO and they VERY OFTEN make exceptions for Executives = they also make exceptions and medical "approvals" for executives for "high profile accounts" - for the rest of us - not a chance - not ever - and those "high profile accounts" - also only help the C-Suite - the average worker pounds sand.

I don’t think this is us. I think it is a different blues plan. We don’t have commercial business in Louisiana.

I have been fortunate because when diagnosed with br---t cancer, Elevance paid for my mastectomy and, to date, for 3 reconstructive surgeries without any issue

Elevance is an ASO account for their own (employees). They can decide what they pay for, who they pay it to, and how much.
