Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Please Sir, May I have some more?

Let’s pretend…

I keep my job. Are we doing PSG bumps in 2026? Kinda done after in same paygrade for 2 years (especially displaying competence in current paygrade and up to two paygrade ahead).

If you’re antsy after 2 years in a PSG, this may not be the right place for you. Read the placement guides, have you really grown that much and met the higher requirements in only 2 years? Anecdotally, most people who want promotions this fast dont deserve them.

Definitely a hopeful graduate, I know so many people who have been in their pay grade for 9 years and haven’t been able to move, don’t see that changing anytime soon

My understanding is that PSG's are being reduced for most positions, so highly unlikely you'll see any bumps next year.

Id be fine with same pay grade for 4 years. Better than taking a pay cut elsewhere.
