Nothing to worry about. The Liberal Party will ensure the welfare state continues. No need to work.

“While no decision has been finalized about offering an EOI, it is an option we are considering”
The challenge will be finding enough workdays to make the assessments and planning. Let’s see: Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Then combine that with summer vacations, Stampede, sick days following Stampede and long nights at the Pied Pickle and it will be a wonder if anything gets done before Thanksgiving in October. Evidently it took a month for the pilgrims to get back to Plymouth from Regina.
Heard same for Houston office
The timeline makes sense for a fall layoff. They’ll know about EOI’s in June and start drawing up lists shortly after. A couple months later, they’ll start reductions. Look for a September/October timeframe.
PP, the question was not what is an EOI…. It was will the possibility of accepting them be decided in June. You must be a useless manager.
EOI = expression of interest. Just because you EOI doesn’t mean they’ll give you the package to leave. I know people before who raised their hand for the package and weren’t approved. They had to accept a new job or resign.
Again, just because you put in for the EOI package doesn’t mean you’ll get it. If you’re in a critical role or skill that leadership has decided can’t be lost, they won’t accept your request.
