Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Be curious, not judgmental!

I hope that either all of us, or none of us, are judged by the actions of our weakest moments. But rather, by the strength we show when, and if, we're ever given a second chance.

I believe in hope. I believe in believe.

Don’t you dare settle for fine!

Make whatever your passion is your “life”

You say impossible, but all I hear is ‘I’m possible.

If you just figure out some way to turn that ‘me’ into ‘us’…the sky’s the limit for you

Nike forever!

Sick of all the negative whiners on this site!

Thanks Ted Lasso. Those have shrewdly been used. Get creative and use your own sh-t.

I do find this site probably carries the most negative people I’ve ever probably worked with, however, some of these complaints are well warranted. The criticism towards JD all made sense. Criticism to some leaders also made sense. Feedback regarding some of our strategies and where we’re going…

It’s all relevant, you just need to pick and choose your channels. Kind of like slack, I ignore some people’s rambling on slack, I also ask “how the he-l do they have this much time.”

But ultimately I keep to myself and hang out with my peers and indirect peers. If it wasn’t for my coworkers, I would’ve left years ago.

If you are tired of “whiners” why do you come here to read the whining? Just live in your happy bubble and STFU. Nike has hurt so many people. Ruined careers of many who “believed”

Ah yes, the kind of speech that pairs perfectly with a tanking stock, missed earnings, and a fresh round of layoffs. “Believe in believe” sounds a lot better when you’re not believing your badge still works. But hey—if we all just turn “me” into “us,” maybe we can crowdsource a severance. Swoosh forever! Or at least until the next earnings call.

@OP+1jrrh9mnh Rhis perspective is luxury held by someone in a high roller position. Not all of us have the big salaries and the giant 401ks that evolve ftom high salaries.

This is a scary time for many of us.
