Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

The Human Cost of Layoffs

Layoffs rarely lead to sustained profitability and can have serious human consequences. Those who lose their jobs face a 2 to 3 times higher risk of su----e, particularly with prolonged unemployment. For a healthcare company like Cigna, these decisions directly contradict its stated commitment to health and well-being - especially toward those who helped build its systems.

Who told you Cigna was a “healthcare” company? They are health insurance- they pay medical bills. They aren’t a healthcare provider. They don’t care if we ki-l ourselves.

Remember in like 2021-2022 when they were bragging about being one of the best places to work and how awesome it was that we were all home with our families. Then bo-m, it all flipped.

And if you've lost you job at Cigna you must be desperate to get back to such an illustrious, caring employer. Duh. Being an employer of choice means we assume you all desperately want to work for us, not that we have to treat you like human beings while you do. You don't make enough for that consideration.

Don't forget! It's 2025, so Cigna is obviously an employer of choice now! That's one of the things they were "driving" for all these years, so it must be so. Aren't you happier than ever to be so blessed to work for them???
