Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

New Business Direction

Excited about the new direction coming for business. Both outside and inside sales teams focused on specific market sizes: SMB, Mid-Market and Enterprise. Will be managed and run like a professional sales org soon.

They did this before so nothing new. Products were still sold wrong, network still su-ked and NOC refused to monitor properly, and half of service assurance were clueless. The bad leadership is still there so just a rinse and repeat.

If yall looking to make money here now is the time. It will soon be over because they want to get rid of all the ppl necessary to maintain the network and replace them with sales ppl. U can’t overlap in sales and expect to have enough sales to maintain ur salesman. Get what you can and get out of here. The ship is sinking yall and it won’t be long now.

Make your money now because it’s soon going to be a screeching halt.

Doubtful. There will be overlap and they will hire too many salespeople to prospect their market. The sales management "leaders" who have no clue about anything will not understand or be able to manage it. A new disaster in the making. No understanding of TAM (total available market) and close rate / business cycles, just a rolling sh-t show.

And then there’s people with job descriptions that don’t do anything.

Heard there were a dozen+ people now sitting in positions with no job description and with nothing to do.

That is WILD.

What's that? Paying your electric bill on time to not cause outages.

Nothing will change as long as they keep the existing management. The morale is so bad that a clean sweep is needed.

Doesn't matter - the dumpster fire will continue and you will lose your job. This is reality - get use to it.

This move actually makes sense for once. Most telecoms operate this way to drive optimum results. I don’t see any negatives. Establish rules based on employee totals to create each group - small, mid and large business.

I believe that Uniti is already calling the shots and this change is among their changes.

Yes, let's reorganize things before the merger. So we can reorganize again after the merger. These people are clueless.
