Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Write Letters to Your Congressman

If you are still an employee, write letters to your congressman about the layoffs and the offshoring to HIH. If you really want to do something, do that, and continue to do it. Call, Write, and Call again. At that level you do have political capital and given the current political climate, bringing tech back to the US is bound to win some points for a hungry Senator. Not to mention the fact that it is technically breaking contract with many of our clients, for any HIH employee to have Production access, as this data is not supposed to be available overseas.

So my suggestion. Get your resume together, look for work if you want, and write to your congressman.

Dear Therefore, the correct term is, "congressperson."

I LOST MY JOB and don’t give a rip about the proper term, noun, title, description or your hurting feelings. The greatest generation is not offended by everything.

This is something Congress and the Trump administration need to look into this because companies are eliminating American employees only to replace them with foreign workers and avoid paying Social Security and federal tax by hiring employees in other countries.

Yup. Arguing over the correct language seems important when people’s actual lively hood is at risk.
