When you say that the good employees are the ones being let go, it's because they are the ones making the most money. They're the Senior Advisors, managers and people who have been around a long time and through many pay raises. It's a trend I have seen for sure.
in our dept mostly the full time employees are the ones let go. contractor were all safe.
the sad part about it is, the GOOD ones were the ones let go. like they are trying to cripple our department. there were still a handful of v.competent ones left but you can still feel the intellectual and moral drain.
and yes. we have to shoulder the work left behind by those who were let go. which maybe is fine if it wasn’t for that feeling that all these extra work is for nothing and won’t get recognize because getting fired is looming around the corner
After HCSC it was down to 67,700 employees, after last Thursday it was 65,700, so looks like 2000 employees were let go last Thursday
I’d heard 3000 too, but again, 750 ish is all I could find. Employees let go are assigned a new department RESTRUCTURE INIT 8/9 or something like that that has its own expense code. Express Scripts has its own too and I imagine so do all subsidiaries.

In the system I found that AT LEAST 750 people were laid off last week.
Layoff was announced 04/03. 30 FTE eviCore employees so far.
When was the layoff? What date?
Department? Business unit?
