Pretentious individuals in "leadership roles"

Funny how I've seen so many L6 and L7 individuals in leadership roles.

It's just awful to see them talk about something they have zero clue on, nodding head with visibly "lost" look on their faces.

Most just pretend to be on incident calls for lubing up their managers.
And unfortunately such behavior is encouraged in this company, bare minimum people are climbing up the ladder while visibly high performers are tasked with more filth to clean up in other areas.

If they started giving these roles to individuals who actually know what the sh-t they're talking about, it'll have great impact across

The company is run by someone who has no clue what’s going on. Her leadership team also is clueless. Realistically, how could they want managers who could do their job?

Management is laughable at this point. The whole company is becoming laughable.

It comes from the top. "Impact and Influence" is one of the core components of employee reviews, at least in my BU. I'm sorry I thought you hired me to keep the operation running, not run an Instagram channel or host a podcast.
