Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Severence details

Can someone that recently got laid off share what the severance package includes? Those of us that weren’t impacted in this round are interested to know because we may be next.

one coworker of mine who was let go said he was still considered an employee for a month (even if his log in credentials were removed EOD after they told him he was let go). then 6 months worth of salary for severance which he will get every pay period (biweekly). he worked for cigna for 5.5 years, band 5

If you get JE, can you work for other insurance companies or does non compete still apply?

Try looking under company policies and procedures. Lots of subsections, so look under S for severence or separation

I can’t find it on Iris? It’s a very vague page that does not give specifics. Anyone who says it’s on Iris has actually never looked themselves

If your creds are locked out, you got a package with all the details. Anyone still with the company can find it on Iris. YTA

The details are all on Iris — it lays out exactly what you get depending on years of service, band level and/or current salary.

1 month holding period, followed by 5.5 months of 100% salary (it'll look like half, but that's because on the docs it's calculated per week, not bi-weekly). Service time is 6.5 years for reference, as it changes depending on your service length.
