I am sorry for all of you that lost your jobs in this round of layoffs or previous layoffs and I wish you the best.
As you know, when you are looking for a job the odds are against you. So, the best way to beat those add is using BIG NUMBERS! Send hundreds of resumes by responding to adds but also send resumes to any company that might have jobs for your abilities. Many jobs are never advertised.
Good luck in your search. Things usually have a way of working out for the best.

Oh, look, the grammar police showed up!
You are right. I missed that autocomplete changed odds (which probably had a typo) with ads.
Grammar counts, when sending out resumes, too.
Don't rely on AI or even Grammarly to do the job for you.
Proper grammar requires a proper formative education.
You either have it, or you don't.
Take your case, for example.
You don't know the difference between "ads" and "adds."
This is a problem.
It reflects poorly upon you, both personally and professionally.
Then again, most dipsh!ts who screen resumes and applicants in HR aren't very well educated either.
But you're right, it's a numbers game.
The trick is to customize each resume and cover letter sent, so they're specific to what's worded in the company's ad or website's contents. Pay attention and cherry-pick specific words or phrases, and use or cite those in your resume/cover letter.
Best of luck to everyone!
