Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Termination One Month Out

I received news of my termination today. My termination date is effective in one month (May 3rd). How am I supposed to work during this time? I certainly don’t give a s—t anymore but I don’t want to put my severance at risk.

Anyways. Sending genuine kind thoughts to all of us let go. For those left, do not use this website on corporate machines. Not a rumor starter, genuine advice.

Alright, gonna go enjoy my cat and an iced whisk-y. This won’t be forever.

Most people are laid off and told to stop working immediately, with their access immediately revoked for a reason - management is afraid that you'll be a 'bad actor' and sabotage something you have access to.

Hey this is OP I’m an id--t. No hope for my future career. Sorry yall, I’m already locked out of everything so it’s over. My termination letter specifically noted “you will be actively working during this period” but I guess that was a lie. Would delete my thread if I could but alas.

95% of JE’s I’ve heard about are all non-working during their last thirty days of employment (before their official termination). And those people definitely knew they were expected to work. You sure you’re supposed to work tomorrow?

Access to your system may be revoked by tomorrow morning (24 hrs).
Mine was and I was let go in the October round.
