So many on my teams, friends, coworkers etc are just like that, no longer going to be part of my daily life.
Having a hard time focusing and staying motivated to do my work. I get it's simply the corporate life but just wanted to vent my feelings

They've been quietly letting folks go since well before Oct. 2023.
It would be interesting to see the real running head count of all those JE'd since June 2023. (When I first started noticing some super gung ho company lifers disappear unexpectedly, with no new place they were going to. So forced out quietly with parting gifts)
Yes it really su-ks. 10-15 years ago Cigna was a good place to work and I’ve made many friends here. So many of them are gone over the past few years or are being eliminated now. My time is probably short too.
Yeah - I just found out my Director was cut. Kinda hard to focus on the daily grind now.
Sadly this is the new normal. I’ve seen countless peers from over the years go since that first wave in October 2023.
The writing is on the wall, and no one should think they’re safe. I hope those that have been cut find better things.
