Loyalty means zero. I wish I could of got offered a package but instead they threw us in a CSR position in a phone q on production. We kept our pay but it was pure he-l
They put us in an undesirable position so that they wouldn't have to pay severance for employees that's been there for 20+years. I'm sorry that people are loosing their jobs. There's always something better. Take it as a blessing in disguise.

Never be loyal to any company. I learnt this over the years. Just do your work for what they pay nothing more not worth it and these companies don't deserve any loyalty and hard work, I was laid off too.

This is turning into a vicious cycle. They spent a lot hiring 1,000 people in HIH, and now the overall budget is running short. They continue to spend even more. Needless to say, we all know where this is headed.

JE yesterday ... was told jobs were eliminated determined by high level management and purely financial. Basically, to upper management, employees are just a name on a piece of paper with a salary, especially when the area was just reorganized under new management. The higher your salary (more years of service) the first to go! Had a great review, great raise and great bonus last month. Didn't know layoffs were even happening yesterday

I got laid off yesterday after 10 years (just had my anniversary in January) at Cigna in IT. Was told it had nothing to do with performance but was a workforce reduction. My current org was slashed and my old org had it worse - they lost a lot of Sr Directors/Directors. At least I wasn't told I had to keep working - was told they were turning off my access as of today. This one was brutal, friends, and I hear business is getting slashed next week (but that's just a rumor). Tons of really, really good people now in the marketplace. Good luck, everyone.

I had the 9:30am meeting just like others did. I'm still kind of numb from the whole thing. She said it wasn't anything you did. It wasn't performance related. It was just due to a "Reorganization/Consolidation". I worked for Cigna for over 20 years and this is very disappointing. I guess loyalty means nothing anymore.

I got the invite about two hours before. Typically severance package, 30 days until official term date.

At least one other person on my team laid off as well and I'm pretty sure there's going to be at least one more.

Absolute brutal day. April 3, 2025 should be earmarked, remembered and commemorated on an annual basis. What happened to this company? David, any comment from you?

Loyalty is not a thing anymore folks. This is a lesson to keep jumping ship once you get what you need from them. Sad reality.

Someone that I was working with yesterday said something in an email like "if I don't hear from you in the next day or two, I'll assume you're all set." Just went to respond and they're gone, effective today. I'm assuming it was a layoff based on our conversation, and they fell under tech.
