Allstate senior management (or lack thereof) continues to get in its own way and trip over their own giant clown shoes. Never getting to the root of why this company and its poorly developed products continue to struggle and compete with the market. So far out of touch that they make blind and incorrect decisions and directions all while the a-s sniffers continue to clap and bark their praise.

No surprise there. They've been trying to get rid of PMO for years.
PMOs are pretty much administrative overhead anyway. Process enforcement and reporting goblins that slow down a company's ability to respond to the market. But they STILL have a role in a product centered organization.
Allstate, the PMOs are not the problem, they're just a convenient target. The problem is the culture. Senior management is completely clueless as to why they continue to be slow to deliver and not be able to hit targets and it ain't the PMO that's doing it. A thick layer of middle management a-s kissers all looking out for their own turf and their own political interests prevent the company from delivering because none of them are on the same page and hence the company cannot move forward as one entity to deliver on what it needs to. These same people also feed Zulfi, Kamal and the rest of the terminally ignorant blatantly false information about how well things are going, keeping them wholly in the dark about the on the ground, day to day reality of delivery. They also quash any efforts of anyone beneath them to surface any information that runs contradictory to the picture they've painted. Take a look at what happened to the DPM CoP.
Until the company recognizes how sick its culture is and starts moving some of these middle management a-s kissers/strap hangers ('influencers' in Zulfi speak) out of roles of influence-or better yet out of the company-the beatings will continue. The irony being we also have a culture that encourages one to be a clapping seal so---the beatings will continue.
