Is it ad hoc or does the meeting go on your calendar ahead of time? Is there a specific time it tends to happen or is it kinda all over the place?

“Our upper management tried to find people close to retirement with many years of service to give them a parachute, but it still su-ks.“
Those are the people they should have kept. They did not do them a favor. Do you have any clue what non-employer sponsored health plans cost? And ageism is real, their chance of finding a new position is low. The young will bounce back. The old will suffer.
Also, Cigna’s retirement benefits are laughable.
My invitation was sent at 6am and the meeting was at 9am this morning
Invite sent 15 minutes before the call.
Others have stated the timing of notification. As to who, your Sr. Manager likely has/had no say. These come from much higher up and we were just told who is going. Directors were given all the info and are required in the meetings. Our upper management tried to find people close to retirement with many years of service to give them a parachute, but it still su-ks.
I didn’t get a meeting invite. I got a message asking if I was available. In all honesty I thought I was going to be told my manger had been JEd. Instead I learned our whole team was JEd including me. My message came from a person I had never talked to. I was happy to hear they were JEd the next round.
You get an invite the same day of being notified. They have been notifying people on a Thursday.
Usually you get a cryptic Teams invite like 'Bob discussion' referring to the one getting burned's name shortly before. Always on a Friday
Mine was sent at 8:30 the morning of

Do you mind sharing the general dept or vertical you’re in? Home based care?

Hearing a lot of JE’s tomorrow. Some were given notification prior.
What if we are on pto ourselves?
Phone us to deliver the news or wait until we return, anyone know?
Those in the know: How long has this list existed for the April round, and is the theme to cut lowest performers, highest salaries, or what? I’ve seen both the very best and the slacker type employees cut over this past year.
No meeting has been put. Certain things have been feeling like writing on the wall though and like I’m being pushed out.
Has a meeting been put on your calendar for tomorrow or are you just bugging?
Follow up question - what should I make of the fact that my manager/director is on PTO? Does it bode well considering they’d have known about it in advance / not to take PTO on the day? Or is it just something their boss / the senior director would be handling?
Follow up: Double checked Manager Self Service and meeting invite should be sent between 6 am and 9am local time.
There is no specific time. It just has to be done before 4:00 PM per Manager Self Service.
