I think that used to be the case when we used the titles liberally.
If you look in workday, a 27 is GM, 28 is GM II, and 29 is Director.
So I think this time around, it is based on PSG, and the director will most certainly have direct reports.
A GM actually manages a business, e.g. GM of Ops. A Director is just an advisor, typically with no direct reports and no control of the business. Directors are often either technocrats who have never supervised anyone or defrocked managers who have been sidelined to prevent them from messing up the business further.
Director 29 and GM 28, my guess only
What’s the difference between GM and Director?
The LTIP for a 28 is between 300-400k, and it increases 1.5x to 2x at the next levels.
Those CO + CIP are definitely low, and leave out the LTIPs which are huge at those levels
Total pay (CO + CIP)
PSG 30 = $775K
PSG 29 = $625K
PSG 28 = $505K
Well over a million annually
How much do 28,29, and 30 make each?
A lot of names noticeably missing
and RS just got replaced by Les's buddy
Yes, Please keep us posted. I am PSG 30 and would like to know soon if anyone else gets word.
Or too many GMs from GM.
Ya can never have too many GM's... that's what I always say.
If LC thinks CE is going to be able to do what MA does day to day and understand IT, he is in for a world of hurt.
Or what’s going to happen is that MA will continue to be LC’s bag man in addition to his subsurface job.
