Layoffs are certainly coming. F47 has taken the economy into recession/depression area and car sales and homes sales will plummet as will claims and production. The mythical manufacturing upsurge will occur with robots and/or immigrants. The future is AI and tech not digging ditches or hand making widgets.
Anyone who has an ounce of common sense knows, the economy is slowly moving out of the service industry back to industrial production. Youd be a fool to take a job being a lazy unhealthy a$$ sitting in a desk selling insurance or handling claims when you could have a healthier job making more money elsewhere. Hate to say it but 95% of OTR truckers are making 3 to 5 times what people are making in operations and in 50% of the cases more than agents. The economy is changing and will reward the hard working blue collars since education is obviously failing. That CPCU is worthless.

The best way for SF to reduce the workforce would be to dr-g test from the top down. I would say 70% of the workforce would be let go.

I got hired into SF about 6 months ago and this is the worst decision of my life. I thought I was going to a premier professional company....right? It's State Farm with all the commercials in this nice big fancy building! I was sooo wrong, this place is a f-cking ghetto! The first day in training I could not believe the people I was sitting with. Society's rejects and I thought there is now way these people could have ever gotten hired. Smelled like weed! You can tell everyone is absolutely miserable here in their jobs and no-one has a f-cking clue what they are doing! From the stories I hear, the former CEO left the company in shambles and this new dufus JF looks like he should be selling used cars at the local tote the note car place! Resume is updated and interviewing now! SF is a con job, do not work here or buy their products!
Move WFH back into the hubs. Underwriting makes room.
Layoffs in this economy? We call it restructuring or reorganization, there will be cuts but they will be voluntary.
The sooner you quit believing what they say and understand they don't care about anyone but themselves the better off you'll be.
No severence is coming. Instead they will move people to different areas and different departments. Force people into injury, etc to force people out. They will be shaking the tree.

Well Einstein....actually he does! These are complete mindless self-centered and self consumed narcissist! All of our top Execs have Image coaches! They meet with them monthly to do exactly that, try to shape their image and change how and what people/employees perceive/think of them! The evaluate every speech, video, public appearance etc...to "help" their image! It's the whole reason they have sought power and sold their soul at all cost! Lost their vanity!

What exactly is AI? I have heard they are not wanting people to talk about moving to hubs because they are losing to many and that they are going to be firing low performers. It appears they are trying to force people out.
They continue placing more and more on tm's and employees. You can't get vacation. Its a constant beat down of what we are doing wrong and a constant add on of something else they implement and demand we do. One can only hope for a severence from this sh-t hole.

I sat in on hiring many of the offshore replacements. They couldn't answer SIMPLE questions about the technology they were getting hired for . Eventually, I got tired, and frankly didn't care who was replacing me, so I approved them.
We even had some interviews with people who we hired, but the eventual person who took the job was a completely different person. I guess they thought Americans believed every Venkata looked the same to us, and we wouldn't notice.
AI coming! Don't need to license that! Subjugation would be a great place to cut employees and use AI. That would save tons of money.

Yes, Auto U/W is about to start showing people to the door. TX migrates during the 2nd quarter, and will be the first very large state to go! More changes coming to claims so you know our Execs are going to get really brave again thinking they are in control with an excess of employees. They think people will do anything to stay but they will find out what people really think of this sh-t hole and will just take their severance and leave! Like always when you start playing games only the useless re-tar-s stay and we have a ton of those! Ex-burger flippers, retail burn outs, ADA, FMLA, and every other ill known to man. It's why they sought out SF cauze thdeys bez habin a phobias and mentalzs condertions.
