Heard layoffs are going on in DXC, USA and they are giving 1 week pay (Severance) for 1 year service. Is this true? Anyone have any idea on this?

OMG you all are so stupid, its well documented what severance is in the for DXC 3 years ago it was max 8 weeks, look it up
That could be @v3+1jqfab8jf because for reasons unknown our glorious leaders are looking for billable resources to WFR not non-billable ones. It makes no sense but then what does in DXC?

I work on 3 different clients. My manager asked me if I was billable on any of them (he has no clue what I do, my skills etc, etc). The only reason I can think of why he asked is that they are looking for WFR candidates. Also, last I heard, the max severance is 8 weeks. I wish they would offer a buyout program for at least 6 months, I would jump on it!

Heard that entire ERP team was laid off.
It's pretty simple. If you know what you are doing and make your management look stupid. They will find a way to let you go. They will tell you the terms are 8 weeks or whatever, and you have to decide if it's best to just take the money and run, or stand and fight for better terms. If you desperately want to go, they'll block and deny it at every stage.
I believe max is 8 weeks.
people are being laid off all the time in the US. It's nothing new. Labor laws in the US make that quite easy. I think there is a limit on how much severance but I don't know what it is.
Don't know about the terms but certainly I know USA folks given the flick in the last week...
