I am taking vacation in September, which is likely my job posting and selection time. I wonder if I should cancel my trip.

@za+1jq2zrx7k, You're so absolutely right! Some of these people act like they actually work for a real company and have a real job where you have to work for a living and actually perform for your salary!
I made my last selections from my laptop on a beach, of course you can. I swear some of you are like if you don't even work here
I’ll answer OPs question succinctly. YES
OP, how long is your trip? What are the selection dates?
Depends on the trip. Should be OK if you take your laptop, phone, and have reliable network connection. Try not to be gone the whole posting window. If the travel is a place where internet connection is spotty, I'd reconsider.
If you have to ask, (or can only think of how to cheat since you are basically a useless incompetent parasitic slug) might as well EOI and leave the jobs to people capable of critical thinking.
There. FIFY
Take your laptop if you can or make sure you are home for at least a few days of the posting window. All other steps are just being informed.
All that really matters is if you can be contacted by your rep. You should be in conversation with them beforehand and a discussion point should be how to contact you.
If you're going overseas provide them with that number. It might be wise to place a test call to their phone when/if you arrive in a foreign location.

…skip the single vacation in order to take multiple vacations in the future…
Would you chance missing out on your opportunity to nominate yourself for your job?
