If I had to count, over 20 people reached out to me directly so far. It meant a lot

They’ll reach out only after you’ve landed at a better company about a year from now because they are looking to find a new job or they got laid off and they need you to listen to them whine. Been there many times.

Anyone who doesn’t reach out that very week you got laid off is not a friend.

Once you are laid off, you’re not part of the club anymore and no, don’t expect previous co-workers to give a ****. They don’t. They never did. Everything about corporate workplace is about “what’s in it for me” sentiment. Once you’re gone, you serve them no purpose to keep in touch. It’s brutal.

No, shows the people who I worked with. Needless to say everyone who left the firm or were laid off before me contacted me to see if the they can reach out to their contacts to see if they are hiring
