Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

Not just Elevance Health

I am looking at other healthcare related companies post and seeing a common thread which is layoff. Is it just healthcare industry or all industry is facing this. This looks like a path for another '08. I would say just wear the storm.

Has nothing to do with politics. Globalism is the name of the game. Both parties are working towards the same goal. AI is being implemented everywhere right now. All companies are shrinking their workforces daily.

The unfortunate reality heading towards us is an economic collapse and then a digital money system with a UBI component. It doesn't matter who is in office, this is the plan and it will be implemented by 2030.

Sounds crazy but we will see it happen. A major paradigm shift is coming."

All companies are laying off people. For all of those reading this, start saving money for at least 1-2 years. It is going to be ugly very soon. Feels like the beginning of 2008.

The govt owes us money in Medicaid. We lost our a-s in Medicare.

Elevance leadership is ahead of the business curve. It’s good to have forward looking leadership.
CNBC polled business leaders and “ A little over one-third of CEO respondents (37%) said they do expect to cut jobs this year”. We’ve been doing this for quite a while. See how great we are?!

Sadly,I t’s going to get uglier. :(

Anthem gave big to the current group in charge. All I know is that one party always bring recession but people swear it's the party that's best for big business. So yeah, prepare for another economic crash

Layoffs started happening way before Trump got elected. You can’t blame him for inept SLT.

What a dum--ss reply. Trump/Biden have no responsibility in how bad our leadership is or how self-serving they are. Go ahead and see if Gail and others' bonus is cut by the same percentage as yours. Then imagine how many workers could have remained if all of the pisspoor executive team took a 50% reduction like everyone had to. Save your brownnosing for meetings with your boss.

This is what happens when you get grifter leaders who can't make it in any other industry. The in---t and complete lack of accountability at the SLT level is amazing.

I strongly believe the leadership is being compensated to implode the industry with a long term goal of national healthcare.

"Can someone explain what the real issue with the industry is?"

Healthcare providers actually provide patient care. Do they truly need an intermediary corporation between them and their patients, skimming a percentage?

The trouble with the industry. It is not sustainable business model. That has been known in the industry for some time now. Find another line of work if you want a career.
