BB is the most famous person in HW, possibly Mattel. You'll see him in every social gathering and social media post, because he loves the spot light. That's all he does since he can't be bothered to do any real work. He'll even take credit for your work, free of charge. But, when things go south, BB will be the firs to throw you under the bus. I was hired in 2024 and lost half my team. It seems only people over 45 years were laid off, but I only know about a few.
You gotta give credit to JM for exposing BB. Although it was pretty obvious that BB has been useless for years, and he's still there continuing to be useless.
And that’s why Mattel has a the reputation as an employer it does. Easier to empower a bully than build a system that actually works to increase revenue, creativity and profit. No top line growth and stagnant profits.
I find JM to be creepy AF. Someone whose entire life revolves around his job, and expects everyone around him to be just as miserable. He'll ask questions, disregard what is told to him, and destroy morale in the process. I honestly don't know ANYONE who has anything good to say about him. The way he treats others is simply despicable, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear someone taking legal action because of him. Can't believe he's still here. Shows absolutely no awareness from his boss. But sure, fire anyone who disagrees with him.

I feel like people on this website don’t appreciate ridiculous amount of value even a single VP brings to the company. Think about, these high-paying positions would not exist unless the people working in them demonstrably produced more value than they receive in salary. This is like Business 101 level stuff guys. Cutting VP positions that aren’t generating revenue? Sure, but there’s a reason why large corporations typically have many VPs and it’s not because the people running the these companies lack basic business acumen.
