Not too big to fail, too small to matter!

They will never lay me off. I was hand-picked bc of my extensive, exceptional talent. X will rise once again from adversity, it's too wonderful and big to fail.

Honest answer here: Rising Debt/Equity Ratios, falling Earnings Per Share/Stock Price. All of those things denote that the company is getting sicker and sicker financially and will force them to take drastic action to try and right the ship (or not, as it appears with the Lexmark deal running up D/E ratio is the point. Doesn't matter if you never intend to pay back the debt.)

"An increased shift towards a partner-led (outsourced) strategy"

This especially, it means they're looking to replace you with cheap labor.
