Is there any news about the HR function? Every time I ask my manager she tells me to put my head down and work hard. But she can't even look me in the eyes when she says that.

HR is toast. Can easily be done at a call center
It won't make any difference how hard you work. Put an alert on the job listings and wait to see your job pop up in a new location.
OP - there have been no "real" updates since the HR townhall. Given how LD stated that over 20% of HR will be cut, they definitely have a preliminary structure in place. However, until the rest of the enterprise is solidified, they won't know for sure who's-needed where.
Haven’t you heard..? They’re bringing RM back so that everyone will run screaming for EOI.
