Do you MN folks have any grasp upon the difficulty of sitting in front of a computer all day when, "The Mountains Are Calling And I Must Go", is every single day of the year. Also, the Vikes blow.
Oh please spare us the "if it weren't for ___...." I can take your argument further and point out that SHK developed many high margin products for decades that put bread on the table for the entire company. But it's all meaningless now anyway.
moose was a TCO product. Longmont saw that it's sistor product was not going to work and cancelled it. I always wondered why moose was being shipped when I saw the work that still needed to be done to make the platform code work. It was no surprise to me when word stated coming out about moose field problems.
Also please note that the vast majority of the products that have been and are being shipped today, and pay your salary, have come from Longmont. Before when the bonus plan had a quality metric in it we saw year after year the bonus being reduced due to Minn and Singapore designed products having quality problems. With out Longmont products the company would have closed years ago due to the very low volumes that the other sites products had and have today.

LCO’s incompetent nose has been way too high since NL got handed to them from SHK and the result is finally showing now in the demise of the entire company. The One Seagate, One Design Center initiative has been and always will be a sad sad joke.
Longmont has the best conference room views in Seagate. The air in Longmont is so much better than any other USA site. Longmont is one of Seagate's greatest strengths.
Try doing all the hard work to earn one or more engineering degrees and learn the English language beyond 3rd grade and perhaps you can. Do you expect to be handed such a position without putting in the effort to gain knowledge?
Longmont has been dead weight for quite awhile.
