The frustration is real

Don’t cut your salaried managers and expect leads to pick up the slack for no pay! Leads are already picking up the slack because you don’t want to staff your stores with enough associates to give that great customer service as expected. Bahaha, what a joke. This company has no clue what we go through in the stores and they don’t care.

At our store, they’ve been stressing that clothing/home associates are not to stand at the register and must always be recovering. So now customers think that no one is watching the registers, and bringing cartloads of merchandise to our tiny beauty counter registers, while we are doing presale/watching shoes and handbags and fragrance as well.

Do they think people are stupid?
Sure, you will have a few nitwit leads that will do the work of a salaried manager for no pay, but the majority won’t and don’t !!
Customers are complaining all day, everyday about no help at the register or on the floor and Belk corporate does not care!

They sit in corporate offices making these clueless decisions while we’re the ones dealing with the fallout. The disconnect is Crazy. More and more closures incoming.
