Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Remember when.....

Does anyone remember when the rallying cry was Warren Buffet and Geico was going to pass us as the #1 auto insurer. Remember when F-ckta-d MT used that excuse to close all the offices, implement EOM, clean house in claims, disastrous hubs, all the minority fast food worker reject workforce, no more pension, and all the other id--tic decision that were made creating a toxic sh-t hole! All the while he/croonies was taking $24 million dollar bonuses, running record losses and destroying the company...... Guess what, you are going to get to re-live all that over again...this time Progressive is the boogie man, and it is all your fault employee!!!! So when that started over a decade ago. SF was #1, Allstate was #2, Geico #3 and Progressive was #4! Now SF is #1, Progressive #2, Geico #3 and Allstate is number #4! In three more years we will be #3!!! It will be hilarious!!! Retar-s!

I wish SF would buy out my pension and give me severance/years pay! Cash out my PTO! I would take that, invest it, along with my 401K and live off the interest and never look back at this sh-t hole!

@pd......looks like you have an opinion.......but I don't think you have any facts to back it up. Why do I think that? 'cause there ain't none....

Yes but they can freeze it and no longer make contributions to your pension, effectively taking it away! They could buy it out but that would still be a lot cheaper than contributing to it for another decade or so. The oldest trick in the book is make promises that you never expect to keep! Force people out early, is a huge pension expense reduction tactic. All the folks in Auto U/W are about to find out about this when they eliminate 90% of the jobs due to automation! Have a very strong feeling they are about to outsource ILR and do something with Express! Gotta find more creative ways to give Execs a bigger SMIP next year! Just renewed my Progressive policies and h-ll.... going to see what else I can buy from them! F-ck SF!

They can't take away your pension. It is yours. It is protected. They could offer to buy it out but I doubt they would want to spend that kind of money.

The company will get what it pays for. Always remember! They don't give you anything.....you work for it and they will always try to sell you that they are giving to you. If anything, they take from you. Once they take benefits, you'll never get them back. FK all those big digits on up!

Mark my words, you will see the death of the pension at SF in the very near future. The new folks already don't get a pension, starting in 2021, but trust me it is on the table. The day they do that will be that day you will see a massive stampede of employees with any tenure away from State Farm. Our Execs are re-ards living an era long since past, Lexus, Kia, and Jasmin have no f-cking clue what's going except for their ADA and FMLA protection every week. Agents are probably the must useless of the bunch and are robbing the company blind and have been for decades. The small percentage of people left that actual keep the place afloat are on their last legs. Loss of the pension would be the final iceberg for this piece of sh-t Titanic!

Don't forget he-l bound on moving everyone into the hubs when its already been proved more productive working from home. Also hubs are in Dallas, Phoenix, Bloomington, an Atlanta. Who the he-l wants to live in these places. It's all just so stupid.

I mean what do they expect. Who the he-l needs an agent this day and time. SF needs to get rid of agents and move into this century. SF will be lucky if they stay in the top 5. OVER PRICED. BAD REPUTATION OF THE TREATMENT OF EMPLOYEES. MIDDLE MAN AGENTS GETTING A CUT. CLAIMS SERVICE FROM A NEW INEXPERIENCED CLAIM HANDLER. NEW YOUNG MANAGERS WITH NO CLAIM EXPERIENCE AND NOSE RINGS. THE STUPIDITY IS NEVERENDING.

If you also remember, we're basically in the exact same position we were right before COVID-19. We were 12 months away from Progressive taking our #1 spot. Then d-mbarszzz MT had the genius plan to basically do Big Dog 2.0 and write a ton of horrific new policies/bad risks and proceed to, as OP stated, give him and his cronies a lifetime of wealth at everyone's expense. I actually saw the press releases and internal memos, basically propaganda, that were prepared back in 2019 for the fall. MT was just able to kick the can down the road, not on his watch! What the Execs really aren't telling you is they already know the whole insurance industry reached its peak and everything from here on out is just going to be a race to the bottom. SF will easily win that race because it still has a distribution model that was designed over a 100 years ago and no one can afford its products. People cannot afford new houses or new cars, and a majority of Gen Z, Gen Alpha and Gen Beta, have no desire to own either because they are overwhelmed by a gust of wind! Anxiety, triggered, and traumatized by everything! Robo taxis will hit, self driving cars, Uber/Lyft and people will rent an apartment or still live with their parents! They don't have extra money to invest or spend and definitely do not want to talk to a f-cktard agent about life insurance. The insurance industry doesn't have a bright future and SF is at the top of the sh-t pile! At least it is #1 at something! LOL!

I’ve believed for the last few years that they are OK with losing the #1 spot. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to keep that spot be underpricing bad business that nobody else wants.

Eliminating the birthday rose should have made us profitable. Well worth 24 million dollar bonuses

This post is spot on. I think the damage is done. I don't know how SF could ever overcome the self inflected damages. But yes by all means blame the employees and do even more damage to the sh---y reputation. SF will be lucky to only drop to number 2. Progressive should come in and do a mass hiring of SF employees and offer total remote jobs and just destroy what's left of the farm.

Same id-iots, same results! History usually always repeats itself! The total definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result!
