Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

RETIREMENT

Why not offer early full retirement and get all the old timers with the higher salaries off the books? Then replace those folks in the hubs. Instead of doing right by the employees SF has a bad reputation of sc--wing its employees. They instead will make employees so miserable and try to force them out. I believe word of mouth from employees is why we can't get new business or employees. With this sh-t show would anyone recommend our insurance or to work here. I think that's a big he-l no.

Best thing SF could do for themselves at this point is to severence wfh employees out and try to save what little reputation they have left. Start over and hire in hubs if that is what they are intent on doing. I have never heard of a company that has sc--wed so many of its employees to the point that the majority or more of the employees hate the company and would not recommend employment here or our products and just want out. I don't see how any company can overcome that. Apparently SF had no idea that the employees make the company.

I had hoped they’d offer some sort of buyout package for agents on older contracts, since they’d clearly like to get everybody on the newer version. But that never happened so I retired when I thought I was OK. If they won’t offer a payout to get those agent contracts off the books, I can’t see them doing it for line positions.

35+ year employee. Don't have my insurance with Sf and never recommend them when asked. With what I see on daily basis could never recommend this sh-t show to anyone.

Spot on! The only golden packages are for the Execs.....they are like Mortimer and Randolph! Let's see if we can destroy their lives.......The bet is $1.........

Looking good Billy Ray....feeling good Louis!

It’s cheaper to create a schitty environment and run them off than to give a severance package. Those packages negatively affect the board and executive bonus’. There is no longer respect for the regular people to give those packages. Enjoy your cake ,

To survive you need the long term employees out. Offer early retirement NOW! Or enjoy being number two behind Progressive

Tippy’s leadership positioned Progressive to take the number one spot soon. Thanks Tippy.

I'm amazed at how many of my peers I talk to that absolutely hate this place and express all these exact same concerns year after year but still continue to have their insurance with SF. All the time knowing it is too expensive and our service su-ks! Why the h-ll would you not cancel your policies and save some money and start expressing your anger with your pocket book??? Makes no sense... I've worked at SF for 32 years and I tell everyone I come in contact with not to do business with SF at any cost. Stop supporting this sh-t show people and F---ta-d Execs and agents! Cancel your policy!!!!!!

It's a joke. They are telling us we are going to number 2 behind Progressive and we the employees are going to be held accountable. They are micromanaging to the point of misery. Like It's little ole me who's fault it is and it has nothing to do with the direction of the company. Same old story going to run off good employees rather than offer any severences. And executives take no accountability.
