Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Confirmed. Its this week

My ED flew in from SAT to our PHX location, which feels ominous. Most Director and Lead meetings are suddenly canceled—never a good sign. Something is definitely brewing, and it doesn’t look promising. Layoffs might be on the horizon.

While I don't doubt that more layoffs are brewing, this particular instance may be a red herring. I wouldn't read too much into this, personally. Unless you have more details and are willing to share, an executive traveling from Office A to Office B and some meetings getting cancelled doesn't sound all that ominous.

Again, more layoffs are 100% coming. I just don't think some executive travel and cancelled meetings is necessarily the harbinger of that.

Not a peep - pretty sure this is unaccurate speculation only.

Executives fly to regional offices all the time. I wouldn’t make much of that.

My hunch is there won’t be anymore layoffs this quarter. However, I do believe we’ll have at least 2 more rounds of layoffs this year, my guess would be Q2 & Q3.

Remember the bank cannot offer new products to members, unless the caller specifically ask for the product. What’s the best way to save money, layoffs.

I don’t know about that. Still possible it could happen, but meetings in my area went on like clockwork. Not one little black rain cloud was floating around. I guess we’ll see you in a couple of days.
