Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Any orgs NOT in scope?

Some orgs already went through reorg recently. Thought they would be out of scope but now even those orgs may be cut. What orgs are out of scope for the reorg? or for offshoring?

Exxon because they actually replace their reserves through successful exploration. Helps to have an actual operation to develop and run.

Many orgs are “in scope” but it is but a mere facade as they are not impacted at all.

I was told personally that I'm not in scope. closer to the well, safer you'll be. The old adage is correct.

US Payroll is not in scope this 1st round as the organization was already downsized in the US in 2024 with most roles being outsourced to the Philippines.

Pascagoula is out of scope. The managers there make sure the food chain is aware of it.
