They tax be lump sum like a bonus– $650 for entry level workers and a U-Haul?? Thanks, that will cover… nothing.
Quitting and finding something else makes more sense, especially since that’s clearly what the company wants from us.

Huh? The cost of moving does not change based on your job level at Belk? Of
Course belk offers a more attractive package to executives, that’s no surprise, but a “lower level” worker as you call it, can’t move to another state with 650 and a uhaul. You sound like a complete mo--n.
Relo pkg for Return to Office, $650 is for lowest-level associates. If you are a buyer/manager and above the package gets more lucrative, including movers /packing, more spending $, realtors, etc. Everyone always so negative, but not actually telling the whole truth.
Just to put this into context.
Belk is giving 650 and a U-haul
When my husband and I moved from Texas to south Carolina in 2023, his company paid 100% for the movers to pack up all our house and load it on two moving trucks (which would cost about $15,000). They gave us a $2000 for motels/gas/food for the car trip from Texas to South Carolina. So, Belk’s moving package is a joke.
Belk doesn’t want you to relocate, they want you to quit. No reputable company would offer employees $650 and a UHAUL to move from out of state. OMFG
I will not relocate with this company and I don’t know why anyone would. We can’t trust them. They are unstable. Relo pkg is a joke, and they are going bankrupt again.
why would someone relocate with a company that is almost bankrupt? Belk is doing horribly.
I would like to clearly state my strong preference against relocating with this company. Additionally, I encourage you to carefully consider the implications of accepting the relocation package. If you plan to leave the company afterward, it is essential to ensure that your departure occurs after the specified time frame; otherwise, you may be required to repay the amount through deductions from your final paycheck, unless termination takes place.
$650 and a UHAUL
